Book signs with Washburn University

Missouri native Ike Book has signed a letter of intent with the Ichabods of Washburn University, a NCAA D2 school in Topeka, KS.  The hard-hitting right fielder battled some nagging injuries in his 2 years for the Statesmen but when in the lineup his impact was felt daily.  Ike hit .273 for the Statesmen with 9-2B, 3 HR and 23 RBI along with stellar defense in rightfield.  Book was also named to the Academic All-American list for the second consecutive year.
