Bio

Zach Bennett enters his first season as an assistant baseball coach for the Statesmen.

 

The Kings Mills, Ohio native joins Lincoln Trail after spending a year as an assistant at Copiah Lincoln Community College in Wesson, Mississippi.  While at Co-Lin, The Wolves graduated 100% of their sophomore class. The team finished with a collective 3.38 GPA and had 18 players finish with a GPA over 3.5. On the field, the Wolves hitters finished with a .285 team batting average, .820 OPS, and scored just over five runs per game.

 

Prior to Co-Lin, Zach spent a season as an assistant at Florence-Darlington Technical College in Florence, SC. He helped guide the Stingers to the NJCAA D1 World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado, after finishing the 2021 season with a 46-8 record. The Stingers sent 19 players to NCAA D1 programs. In addition to 1 MLB draft pick, RHP Hunter Parks. 

 

Prior to his time at Flo-Dar, Bennett spent three years as an assistant at Kings High School in Kings Mills, Ohio. During his time at Kings, the Knights had a combined record of 45-14 and earned a conference championship in 2019.

 

Bennett has spent the last two summers coaching college summer baseball. He spent the summer of 2021 with the High Point-Thomasville HiToms of the Coastal Plain League. As well as the summer of 2022 with the Charlottesville Tom Sox of the Valley Baseball League. 

 

Bennett spent a year playing at Maryville College (Tennessee) in 2015. After ending his playing career, he transferred to University of Cincinnati to study Sports Administration.
