Lincoln Trails goes 1-1 with Olney Central

The Lincoln Trail College softball team hosted Olney Central College on April 15, 2023, resulting in one win and one loss for the Statesmen. In game one, the Statesmen fell just short, losing 9-8 to Olney Central College. Pitching for the Statesmen was Halle Ellis. Despite the loss, several players made notable contributions, with runs scored by Mikayla Schooling, Stormy Kinnard, Tori Linnenkamp, Lilly Foster. As well as two runs scored by each Delainey Shorter, and Alexia Heafner.

In game two, Lincoln Trail bounced back with a 7-3 victory over Olney Central College. Pitching for the Statesmen was Kendal Edmondson, who delivered a solid performance on the mound. The team was led by Mikayla Schooling, Katy Crail, and Kaitlyn Boerngen, who each scored one run, and Delainey Shorter and Stormy Kinnard, who both scored two runs each.

They are set to travel to Wabash Valley College on March 16th, 2023, in their next game.
