Trinity Arroyo Commits to Play Soccer at Saint Thomas University

Lincoln Trail College standout Trinity Arroyo has officially signed to join the soccer program at Saint Thomas University. Arroyo will be transferring to STU after completing her academic and athletic career at Lincoln Trail College this May.

Arroyo's journey to this pivotal moment has been marked by dedication and perseverance. She remarked, "I used the pressure of not being committed as motivation to try harder and now that I am committed. I'm going to continue to try my best because I'm very competitive." Her relentless drive and commitment to excellence have not gone unnoticed.

Reflecting on her experience, Arroyo spoke highly of her coaches, particularly mentioning Coach Javi and Coach AJ: "Coach Javi was a very big motivator and I felt like he had trusted me as a player. He was a great coach to have... Coach AJ, even though at times he might've been harder on all of us, he meant well and it pushed me to be better."

Arroyo's decision to join Saint Thomas University was carefully considered, with proximity to home and the competitive atmosphere playing significant roles. She stated, "I found this college through NCSA and did some research. I wanted to be closer to home, so it worked out perfectly. I chose this school because it was closer to home and more my speed. After the visit and speaking with their coach, I felt like I would fit in. It's a very competitive atmosphere that I love because I like being pushed to be my best abilities."

During her time at Lincoln Trail, Trinty started 23 games out of 24 played in, and had 5 assists.

Her advice to upcoming Statesmen is "Even if it might not have been your ideal plan still push yourself to try your best, even if you feel like giving up it will be worth it in the end. The people you meet at Lincoln Trail will truly change your life!"
