McKenzie Love Signs to Continue to Play Soccer at Harris-Stowe State University

McKenzie Love has officially announced her commitment to join the soccer program at Harris-Stowe State University.

Love's path to this significant achievement began with a fortuitous connection. She recalled, "Lincoln Trail actually found me. I can't remember if it was from Hudl, but the old assistant coach emailed me, and I came to visit." This initial encounter marked the beginning of a transformative journey that led her to excel as a soccer player at Lincoln Trail College.

Throughout her time at Lincoln Trail College, Love received invaluable support from her coaches, particularly Coach B, whose guidance proved instrumental in her development. Love expressed her gratitude, stating, "Coach B helped me by getting my account on Field Level and helped direct me on what to do step by step." Such mentorship and support have played a crucial role in Love's growth as both an athlete and a student.

Love's decision to commit to Harris-Stowe State University was informed by careful consideration and a deep sense of alignment with the school's values and opportunities. She explained, "I chose Harris-Stowe University because I felt it was the best fit for me. When I visited the school, I felt very happy knowing that I would be welcomed in by my new teammates and coach. I love the program and have heard from many people that this school is amazing. My new coach actually majored in Psychology, which is what I am majoring in, and he said that the program was very good. HSSU is a small school like Lincoln Trail, but it's located in a bigger city, and I really liked this because it will give me better opportunities for jobs."

"My advice for the upcoming Statesmen's is to never take your years here for granted. It's a perfect opportunity to get you started with college and you meet so many new people." Love Stated.
