Lincoln Trail Sweeps Southeastern Illinois College

Lincoln Trail College Baseball began their series against Southeastern Illinois College on March 28, 2021, with a resounding 12-6 victory over their opponents. The game, held at the Statesmen's home field, saw strong performances from both teams, with the Statesmen ultimately coming out on top. Grant Palmer, Colby Morse, Brayden Fraasman, Krayton Morse, Collin Sweeney, and Sammy Kestranek each contributed a single run to the Statesmen's win. Furthermore, Jack Beverly, Ben Brombaugh, and Oscar Pegg all contributed two runs each to extend the lead. The Falcons batters faced Eric Rawlings, Luke Shelton, and Mitchell Henneberry in the first victory. 

The Lincoln Trail College Baseball team secured a 14-4 victory on the road against Southeastern Illinois College for game two of the series. The Statesmen were in top form on the day, with multiple players scoring runs and delivering strong performances throughout the game. Brayden Fraasman, Collin Sweeney, Ben Brombaugh, and Oscar Pegg all made significant contributions to the Statesmen's victory, each scoring a single run. Four of the team's sophomores, Grant Palmer, Colby Morse, Jack Beverly, and Krayton Morse, also stood out with each scoring two runs. Pitchers Drew Fieger, Jake Lynch, Mitchell Henneberry, Eric Rawlings, and Jackson Pittman put in strong performances throughout the game, keeping Southeastern Illinois College's offense at bay while giving the Statesmen room to pull ahead and secure the win.

The Lincoln Trail College Baseball team secured their third win in the three-game series against Southeastern Illinois College winning the final game with a score of 19-11. Sophomores Grant Palmer, Jon Popp, and Jack Beverly, who hit a home run, scored single runs. While Colby Morse, Curtus Moak Jr., and Sammy Kestranek all contributed with two runs apiece. Brayden Fraasman and Ben Brombaugh both scored three runs, adding to the team's impressive score. Krayton Morse led the team with four runs scored. The Falcons facaed pitchers Cole McMichael, Luke Shelton, Matt McMahan, and Trey Reed. The team showed great tenacity throughout the match, rallying after Southeastern Illinois College edged ahead in the first inning. They continued to push hard on the field, ultimately securing a decisive victory over their opponents.
