LTC Golfers are headed to the National Championship Tournament

The golf team competed in the Region 24 Tournament in Bloomington, IN at the Pfau Golf Course at Indiana University, on Monday May1st 36 holes, and Tuesday May 2nd 18 holes.

They competed against the following teams.

Parkland

Heartland

ICC

Rend Lake

Vincennes

Danville Area College

Lewis and Clark College

Southeastern College

The team finished in a tie for 4th, 6 shots out of qualifying as a team to go to nationals. Connor and Kacee qualified to play in the National Championship as Individuals. The top 3 teams in the Region Tournament qualify, and then the top 2 individuals not on those top three teams qualify. The National Championship Tournament will be held in Plymouth, IN and the Swan Lake Resort, and will be May 23rd-May 26th. Connor and Kacee will play 18 holes a day for 4 days.

Kacee finished 6th overall with scores of 79,79, and 76

Connor finished in 8th place overall with scores of 80,83, and 75

"Kacee and Connor are very talented golfers and have been working hard to improve. I am proud of their commitment and really happy for them to reach their goal of playing in the National Championship Tournament. Not only am I proud of Kacee and Connor but the entire team." Coach Jay Prindable said. This is the first time in almost 30 years that an LTC golfer will compete in the National Championship Tournament
