STATESMEN RANKED #17 OF THE COUNTRY

STATESMEN RANKED #17 OF THE COUNTRY

The Lincoln Trail Men's Soccer program is having a historic season! After starting the season 3-0 with a goals difference of 19/3 they received their first vote for national rankings but were not selected in the initial rankings update after they suffered their first loss to a 4-year school.

The Statesmen then proceeded to go on a win streak of 3 games including two regional opponents (Illinois Central College, and Lewis and Clark Community College) and amassing a goals for and against record of 12/2 bringing their season tally to 31/7.

The NJCAA took notice of the strong start and awarded the Statesmen their first rankings of the season placing them at #17 in the top 20 of the nation. The Statesmen would keep that spot for several weeks while the rest of the rankings changed significantly each week. This past week the Statesmen moved down to #18 after suffering their second loss of the season, but now have again climed up to be #17 spot of the nation after tying #11 Indian Hills 0-0.

Now they prepare to face Illinois Central College on Sunday. This game will decide the postseason schedule and rival for your Statesmen!
