Moura Commits to University of Missouri - Kansas City

After a historic season at Lincoln Trail, Moura's dedication to his craft has earned him spot at UMKC, where he plans to continue his athletic and academic journey.

Moura's journey to UMKC was marked by unwavering determination and focus. Reflecting on his strategy, Moura stated, "I knew if we had a good season we would have better chances of being seen by bigger schools and getting more offers, so that was where I focused the most this past season and it worked out well." A key aspect of Moura's success was his ability to manage pressure effectively. He shared, "What I did to not put myself in a pressure situation was to not think/care about the schools until the end of the season, so all I worried about was to perform good and help my team succeed." This mindset allowed him to maintain focus and achieve outstanding results.

Throughout his career at Lincoln Trail, Moura received invaluable guidance from his coaches, Alex and Javi, who played pivotal roles in his development. Moura expressed his gratitude, stating, "It was a process, Alex started on my freshman year and Javi finished up on my sophomore year. They both are great coaches and great people. They've always helped me on and off the field with anything I needed help on." Their mentorship and support significantly contributed to his growth as an athlete and as an individual.

UMKC emerged as the perfect fit for Moura, offering everything he sought in a university. He remarked, "UMKC had everything I was looking for in a school. They're going to bring me to the next level, they're located in a big city and I loved the campus and all the facilities." With its promising academic programs, vibrant campus life, and top-notch athletic facilities, UMKC promises to provide Moura with an enriching environment to pursue his goals.

During his time at Lincoln Trail he started 29 games and helped bring the "2023 Region 24 Champion" title.
