Union, MO — After last Sunday's home defeat, the Lady Statesmen travelled to Union, Missouri to face the Lady Falcons of East Central College (ECC). The Lady Statesmen were able to bounce back from last week's defeat with a commanding victory in which the Lady Statesmen scored six goals and maintained a clean sheet.
The Lady Statesmen opened their scoring account in the 6th minute with a freekick taken by #19 Trinity Arroyo which was put into the back of the net by #9 Celine Hernandez . #12 Kearsty Nielson and #7 Eduarda Queiroz added to the scoresheet scoring two goals each in the match. #10 Guadalupe Amicone also added to the scoresheet, putting away a penalty shot late in the match. The Lady Statesmen defended well throughout the match and were able to finish the match with their first clean sheet of the season.
The Lady Statesmen, now with a record of 2-1 on the season, will return to action this upcoming Tuesday, as they travel to Champaign, IL to face Parkland College.
