Robinson, IL — The Lady Statesmen returned to action at home after playing the last two games on the road, the Lady States were up against regional rivalry, the Lady Trailblazers of Lewis and Clark Community College (LC).

The two sides battled it out from the opening minute in an important regional match, both teams showed good quality and strength, but the afternoon belonged to the Lady Trailblazers. After settling into the game, the Lady Trailblazers took the lead in the 28th minute and were able to capitalize again shortly after in the 30th minute. Another goal in the 37th minute gave Lewis and Clark a 3-0 lead at half time. The Lady Statesmen fought but were unable to break through in the match. Lewis and Clark closed their scoring account with a fourth goal in the 60th minute to take a victory on the road.

The Lady Statesmen are now 3-2 on the season and will travel on the road to face St. Louis Community College this upcoming Wednesday the 13th. Time to bounce back...
