McBride Commits to Brescia University

Lincoln Trail College is proud to announce that Campbell McBride has committed to furthering her academic and athletic career at Brescia University after graduating from LTC in May.

Campbell shared on Instagram, "Overjoyed and blessed to announce that I'll be continuing to play at Brescia University. So thankful for everyone in my life who has played a role in my success! Excited for the next two!"

Head Coach Dana Goodwin also expressed excitement about McBride's commitment, stating, "I am very excited for Soup to continue her volleyball career at Brescia University. She is going to be a huge defensive asset to their team with her ability to read the hitters and move quick to the ball. She is a true leader and will bring the energy to the court as a Bearcat."

Throughout her time at LTC, McBride has demonstrated exceptional skill and leadership both on and off the court. In a statement reflecting on her time at LTC, McBride expressed gratitude for the support she received from Dana and Coach Pack, stating, "Dana and Coach Pack have been more than I could have ever asked for. At times, they have been like a mom, a sister, a friend, and always a coach. I have made lasting friendships at LTC that I will take to Brescia and beyond."

McBride's commitment to Brescia University has been in the works for some time, with her focus during her sophomore year primarily on the physical aspects of the game. She remarked, "I think "what's next?" is always in the back of your mind, especially sophomore year. During the season, I kept my focus more on the physical game itself as in practices, games, etc. This has been in the works for a while, and I'm thankful to find the school perfect for me."

McBride herself is eager to join Brescia University's volleyball program, particularly admiring the rebuilding efforts of the team. She said, "I fell in love with the rebuilding of Brescia's volleyball program, and I am excited to be a part of a welcoming community. I look forward to these next two years and all that is to come."

During her two years at Lincoln Trail, she had 575 digs 51 assists, 6 kills, and 11 aces.

Campbell's advice to upcoming Statesmen is "Take time to appreciate every moment you have here, in the blink of an eye your two years will be over."
